KAI Baby Food is the premium food for the wholesome start of your growing baby. Enriched with what your tiny one needs beyond basic nutrition. Rich in love and great in taste, providing the finest flavor with the greatest nourishment.
KAI ensures the food is as pure, natural, artisanal and wholesome as possible. The basic flavour in the food is gradually introduced to the baby’s palate, without any artificial flavouring, salt or processed sugar being added.
KAI’S holistic approach to the mother’s cuisine extends to how we prepare the food for the baby. Providing an all-rounded dietary requirement and retaining the full nutrients of the ingredients form the foundation to our cooking.
KAI’s chefs apply fine dining culinary techniques to our Baby Food, such as alternating between hot and cold temperatures to cook and extract maximum flavours from ingredients and simmering of stock at a constant low heat without boiling. Food is blast-frozen immediately after cooking to retain nutrients.
At KAI, we have divided the baby food into 2 categories:
One group caters to babies who are 6 to 9 months old. Here, the food is pureed for easy chewing and swallowing. While eating, the baby might push his tongue out upon being given food. This extrusion reflex is a natural reflex during the first few weeks of eating semi-solid food.
The 2nd group for babies who are 10 to 12 months old introduces a slightly grainy texture so as to promote chewing and the development of jaw muscle in the baby. At the same time, a more diverse diet is introduced for more rounded nutrition and to encourage infants to consume food from all food groups.
